Built in Austria in 1978, the MS Anton
Chekhov is a comfortable and well
maintained vessel which, in the course
of her life, has been upgraded on a
number of occasions. The last major
refit was in 2003. The ship is well
furnished in an attractive Russian style
and the staff on board offer a friendly
and efficient service. Passenger accommodation is arranged over three decks and all cabins have outside views with a large picture
window and a private shower and toilet. There is ample storage in each cabin with a wardrobe, shelves and
under bed storage for suitcases. The public areas include two bars, a swimming pool under a sliding glass roof, dining room where russian influenced cuisine is served, reading
room and lecture lounge, shop,
hairdresser and sauna. Also on board is
a clinic and laundry service.
